Can't cycle windows anymore

Hello everyone!

Since a couple of days ago, after my last upgrade (Sid), I can't cycle
among windows anymore. I'm using Gnome with metacity. Whenever I
<Alt>Tab I can see the open windows' icons, but when selecting another
window it doesn't raise.

Let's say my current window is this email editor, then I <Alt>Tab to go
to the xterm, but it doesn't raise.

I remember I had another problem (applets not loading) that was fixed by
'kill -HUP bonobo-activation-server'. Maybe there was a known broken
package. Do you know which?
