Changes to menu not permanent

Hi,

I've a problem with a menu entry. I wrote a start script for one  
program that I want to execute instead of the default command. When I  
open the Properties-dialogue of this entry, I can change the command  
and my script will be executed whenever I select the entry from the  
menu. However, when I close the gnome-session and start a new one, the  
default command will be selected again and I have to re-enter the path  
to my script (or select it from the drop-down box). Is there a way to  
permanently switch the command linked to the menu entry?
