I feel that there is a large amount of low-hanging fruit which can be removed, i.e. bonobo-conf, pong, etc. A quick grep-available reveals 22 GTK+ 1 packages which are orphaned, so we may be able to straight away ditch a large number of packages. Of course post-Sarge we really need to start an offensive on migrating to GTK+ 2.0 totally.
