Does Gnome VFS has som kinds of cache ?

Hi All !

Something quite strange has happened to me tonight ! :0/
After compiling a program of mine that contained a bug I launched it in
a gnome-term.
What a surprise still does not work ! So i made
  % gdb prog

there it works perfectly (i repeated that many times adding some I/Os op
in the program to see if something changed)!
gdb 'see' the changes but gnome-term doesn't !
So i tryed it on a tty and there again it's works perfectly !

Even after a
  % rm prog
  % make prog
the problem still persists ! so i think it could be a matter with some
sort of cache ! And the place i think it could be is in gnome-vfs since
apperently linux has no matters...
I'am absolutelly do not know the way gnome-vfs works so of course I could
be totally wrong. If I am please tell me and explain me.

Note that, it's not the first time I notice that bug but since now I
didn't have any 'explanation'...

Thanks in advance for some words on that matter !

Cordially,
Nicolas CANIART.
