i've been using fpeters excellent gnome2.4 packages, which have been most excellent up until now.
YEAH :)
with recent updates i'm having a big problem with bonobo-activation. it seems bonobo-activation has become a dummy package, and mentions functionality was moved upstream into bonobo.but all my gnome apps are still looking for the old library;
I had the same problem yesterday :-/And after installing the dummy libbonobo-activation package Gnome wouldn't start.
what package do i need to satisfy this problem? currently i am stuck as i cannot get much of anything to run. advice please.
The good news: I found a fix http://people.debian.org/~seb128/gnome2.4/binary/ Download and install these files with dpkg: libbonobo2-0_2.4.1-1_i386.deb libbonobo2-common_2.4.1-1_i386.deb(This will result in some broken dependencies but the system should be up and running)
