This is about *Debian*. In Debian you don't have to bother about
download locations, since apt-get takes care of them. (apt-get update
&& apt-get upgrade).[1]

Anyway, unless you run Debian (or a Debian-based distro) you certainly
don't want to install Debian packages.
Before posting to debian-gtk-gnome, please take into account that this
is a Debian-specific list.
