Rhythbox + gstreamer-alsa + alsa 0.9.1 do not work.

Hello,

Recently I moved my sound configuration from OSS to ALSA.
Unfortunately I have encountered some problems with using Rhythmbox with
ALSA drivers.

I am using:
Debian woody + GNOME2.2 from sid
rhythmbox 0.4.5-5 (net-rhythmbox)
alsa 0.9.1
gstreamer 0.6.0 (gstreamer-alsa 0.6.0-4).

I set 'alsasink' for gstreamer. Now when I am trying to play any
'xx.ogg' file, rhythmbox does not play any sound and prints the
following to stderr:

.[01mINFO.[00m (.[00;34m 2379.[00m:.[00;31m 0.[00m).[00;07;37m.[00m
Initializing GStreamer Core Library version 0.6.0
.[01mINFO.[00m (.[00;34m 2379.[00m:.[00;31m 0.[00m).[00;07;37m.[00m CPU
features: (0c040882) MMX SSE
registry: loaded global_registry in 0,333879 seconds
          (/var/lib/gstreamer/0.6/registry.xml)
Opening alsa device "default" for playback...
Preparing channel: (null) 44100Hz, 2 channels

** (net-rhythmbox:2385): WARNING **: [Invalid UTF-8] error setting rate
(44100): Bad argument

And repeats the last 5 lines after each press on the 'play' button.

I compiled ALSA '--with-oss', so I can use rhythmbox with 'osssink' or
'esdsink', but the situation is so annoying that I can not sleep
(almost:)

I have tried 'esound' with 'libesd-alsa0' (0.2.29), 'MPlayer' with
'alsa9' output and they both works.

Do you have any ideas?

Kind regards,
Mirek.
