Nautilus' "initial-desktop" dir - what is it good for?
Hello,
I wonder what /usr/share/nautilus/initial-desktop is actually good
for. It contains symlinks to some files from /usr/share/desktop-base,
but these are obviously ignored. A new user account start with Gnome's
stock desktop. None of the .desktop files in the initial-desktop dir
is copied to ~/.gnome-desktop.
Earlier I heard that this was going to change with Gnome 2.2, which
obviously hasn't happened.
Thanks,
Johannes
