I have been having a problem with gnome-terminal crashing on me for a few weeks now. I have been running unstable since well before the 2.0 switch and am now running 2.2. Basically when I try to maximize the terminal it will crash, not all the time, just some of the time. I finally launched it from an xterm and caught this error message. The program 'gnome-terminal' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length erro'. (Details: serial 10998 error_code 16 request_code 1 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) The application 'gnome-terminal' lost its connection to the display :0.0; most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed the application. Anyone here have any idea of what could be causing gnome-terminal to crash? Should I just file a bug and wait for the maintainer to figure out to problem?
