Debian Sid + Gnome2 = Very, Very Broken

Hiya,

I run Debian Sid (Unstable) as my desktop machine - today I apt-get
upgrade'ed for the first time in about a month (being on dialup sucks). I
previously had gnome2 installed from experimental (since removed the apt
lines), and whatever got upgraded has completely broken gnome2.

I've managed to get *most* things working again, i.e. gtk2 applications,
gnome-terminal, gnome-control-center - there's only two things I can't
figure out:

a. gnome2 hangs on startup. i get the splash screen, and nothing else.

b. nautilus won't load, instead I get a million processes that slow down my
system until I manage to either kill them all, or get a million dialog boxes
on my screen:

(times this by about 3 million)

Searching around on google said that bonobo packages may be the problem, but
I never found anything more on the issue, it seems unresolved.

Ack.

Any ideas anybody? I'm lost, and I'm missing gnome2 already :(
