Re: Gnome 1 to Gnome 2 Transition problem?
O, ok... Hmmm but when I try to do the following it didn't work.
dpkg --install libgconf11_1.0.9-2.1_i386.deb gconf2_1.2.1-3_i386.deb
dpkg: regarding libgconf11_1.0.9-2.1_i386.deb containing libgconf11:
libgconf11 conflicts with gconf2 (<< 1.2.1-2.1)
gconf2 (version 1.2.0-1) is installed.
dpkg: error processing libgconf11_1.0.9-2.1_i386.deb (--install):
conflicting packages - not installing libgconf11
dpkg: regarding gconf2_1.2.1-3_i386.deb containing gconf2:
gconf2 conflicts with libgconf11 (<< 1.0.9-2.1)
libgconf11 (version 1.0.9-2) is installed.
dpkg: error processing gconf2_1.2.1-3_i386.deb (--install):
conflicting packages - not installing gconf2
Errors were encountered while processing:
libgconf11_1.0.9-2.1_i386.deb
gconf2_1.2.1-3_i386.deb
what should I do? I tried install them one by one but it didn't work.
Should I somehow force installation? and how?
