No more tear off menus

Hi list,
Something strange happened.
I perfectly remember that I was able to tear off menus, gftp, gnome
(gtk2 compiled): but now, everytime I try to do it, app will close and
get a segmentation fault error.

Is it a known bug, or something else? Or could someone help to find out
how to solve it?
