I did delete them as well (.gnome2 and .gnome2-private

In gnome-session-properties my active session consists of this: 

gnome-session-properties (ofcourse)
gnome-smproxy --sm-config-prefix /.gnome-smproxy-cfiVtB/
/usr/bin/sawfish
gnome-panel

That's all... And a 30 second delay at startup isn't really a problem,
but it's not supposed to be like that, is it?
