I think it should NOT be option c), because then users are very likely not to download it at all. I didn't realize that there WAS a gnome-utils2 available, because experimental won't download it automatically and it isn't automatically pulled in from any depends in other gnome2 packages... and I don't think even apt-cache search gnome2 will find it. Furthermore, it sounds like Julien just had the same problem -- he didn't realize a gnome-utils2 existed.
