Some Gnome2 packages are not named gnome-foo or bar-gnome-frobnik,
unfortunately. But you can download and analyse the Experimental Packages
file, and make an explicit pin for each GNOME2 package there.

Since your bandwith is "limited" (ie, finite), there is no way this upgrade
to sid or worse could be happening "instantly", even assuming infinite
IDE/SCSI and PCI bandwith.

More seriously, AFAIK Experimental doesn't have a copy of all sid packages.
It is possible that some G2 packages in Exp. depend on versions present only
in sid (then, you can use the same kind of pins to bring only these from
sid).
