Are distributions sopposed to use 1.1.x versions? I thought they are
development. BTW frozen has 1.0.56-2 now

as noted above. gimp 1.0.4 (stable) is there and gimp 1.1.17 (unstable) also
As about gnome-core I think we have the lastest stable gnome-core threre.
