I think the most crucial aspect to gain confidence in a Go package update is to build all reverse build dependencies with the new version. I can't find this happening in your Salsa CI nor did you say that you did this. Maybe it will help the review process if you explain what kind of testing you did of packages that (build-)depend on this package. /Simon
