For me, it sounds like go-team will need to have a maintainer directly from https://github.com/k3s-io organization to be sure
that all changes and corrections will come directly from the K3s organization and their authors. Or, as a workaround,
ask the k3s team about possibly creating their apt repository.

The formal process is to file RFP bugs for each relevant software
package, and then turn them into a ITP bug with associated packaging,
preferrably done on Salsa.debian.org.  You don't need any permissions
before going down this route, but you have to do the work involved (and
find a DD to review and upload).  Discussion will be more concrete if
you can point to a list of specific software packages (and their
license's) and preferrably Debian packaging of them.
