Packaging Elastic beats?
Hi folks,
To my surprise I couldn't find any mention of packaging Elasticsearch
beats (https://github.com/elastic/beats) for Debian "officially". As
things stand, people have to rely on vendor packages, which is always an
uneasy feeling (at least for me). I see that the licensing isn't
entirely straightforward, though I haven't analyzed it thoroughly. Do
you think packaging these for Debian is feasible and sensible, or was
this idea discarded for one reason or another? (If you feel like
explaining, please consider that I've got zero experience with Go.)
