Bug#1104099: libc6: glibc_2.41-7 package NEWS.Debian entry has incorrect Glibc6_TUNABLES variable name
Package: libc6
Version: 2.41-7
Severity: minor
X-Debbugs-Cc: mgulick@gmail.com
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Installed latest glibc 2.41-7 package from testing/trixie
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)? N/A
* What was the outcome of this action? N/A
* What outcome did you expect instead?
I believe the glibc tunables environment variable name should be
GLIBC_TUNABLES, and that is indeed what I see in the gitlab commit that added
this, https://salsa.debian.org/glibc-
team/glibc/-/commit/725728f16e621d4ee58e1fde6b596bf57c33e86b. However the
NEWS.Debian file included in the package itself has different text:
Glibc6_TUNABLES=glibc.rtld.execstack=2 ./program
Thanks,
Mike
