Invitation to the 2023 UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.



Dear Colleagues,

You are cordially invited to attend the third “SDG Summit” – the High-level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development under the auspices of the General Assembly from 25 - 28 April 2023, 9.00 a.m to 1:30 p.m (in-Person) at ExCeL Convention & Exhibition Centre, London ~ United Kingdom). The Summit will mark the mid-point in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. It is organized by the United Nations Department of Global Communications in collaboration with the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Division of Sustainable Development Goals.

The 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are global plans of action to drive economic prosperity and social well-being while protecting the environment.

In accordance with General Assembly resolution 67/290, the UN High-level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Summit will bring together political and thought leaders from governments, researchers, professionals, administrators, manufacturers, policymakers, representatives from the public and private sectors, NGOs, civil society and international organizations in a series of high-level meetings to turn the ten years leading up to the 2030 deadline for achieving the SDG into a decisive decade of action and delivery.

As such, it will review the state of the SDGs implementation, provide policy guidance and mobilize action to accelerate implementation and consider new challenges since 2015. Under the theme “Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease, COVID-19, and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels”.

Participation is free and strictly by invitation for individuals and organizations with the registration code. As an invitee, you have received a registration code (UN/HLPF/SDGS/030922) in the invitation letter, which grants you access to participation. This invitation is extended to you personally, based on your expertise in the subject area.

The United Nations General Assembly offers a free sponsorship air travel expense for invited participants with the registration code. Participants will only be responsible for their hotel accommodation and feeding cost.
