What is the "critical" breakage here?
If all that "breaks" is that you have the (more recent) 2016i-0+deb7u1
installed until the next point release will update jessie to
2016f-0+deb8u1 (or newer), then this is a purely cosmetical issue.
If anything is actually broken, please explain what is broken.
