Aurélien is right, indeed. No need to add anything. WRT the installer, we still have a problem, though as we only list 3 timezones with (imho) inappropriate English names, while we should have 5 different zones : Mexico/BajaNorte (aka America/Ensenada) named "North-West" as English short name and translated to Spanish as "Noroeste" Mexico/BajaSur (aka America/Mazatlan) named "Pacific" as English short name and translated to Spanish as "Pacífico" Mexico/Hermosillo named "Sonora" as English short name and translated to Spanish as "Sonora" Mexico/General (aka America/Mexico_City) named "Central" as English short name and translated to Spanish as "Centro" Mexico/Cancun named "South-East" as English short name and translated to Spanish as "Sureste" This way, users of English language in D-I will see: North-West Pacific Sonora Central South-East And users of Spanish will see Noroeste Pacífico Sonora Centro Sureste It is my understanding that tzdata doesn't need any fix, but tzsetup does. As soon as we agree on the right fix in tzsetup, I'd suggest reassigning this bug report to it and then I'll fix it. I'll also fix the Spanish translation of D-I without waiting for the Spanish l10n team so that we can guarantee that users of Spanish can see properly translated timezone names (this is much less important for users of other languages, for obvious reasons).
