Package: glibc-doc-reference
Version: 2.11.1-1
Severity: normal

The manual is obsolete. It is said:

This is Edition 0.12, last updated 2007-10-27, of `The GNU C Library
Reference Manual', for Version 2.8 of the GNU C Library.

But the current libc version in Debian is 2.11.

For instance, for customizing printf, the manual says to use
register_printf_function, but this function is now deprecated.

BTW, that's strange that the package version doesn't reflect the
glibc version the manual has been written for. This is confusing.

There was a bug reported upstream, and it is now fixed. Closing.
