Bug#741523: tzdata 2014a-1 update includes critical DST update for Turkey
Package: tzdata
Version: 2012c-0squeeze1
Severity: grave
Justification: causes non-serious data loss
Hello
ICANN released a new 2014a tzdata package which debian merged into unstable quickly (2014a-1). As this new release includes a critical update in Turkey DST (Turkey will enter DST one day after the standart, on 2014-03-31, not 03-30) it is very important for users in Turkey that this new relase gets into stable and oldstable before the end of March.
Is it possible to have this update in stable/oldstable before the end of this month?
Kind Regards
Erdem Bayer
