Bug#644406: libc6: Name resolution fails every second attempt with options rotate using IPv6 caching name servers
Package: libc6
Version: 2.11.2-10
Severity: important
Tags: ipv6
With 2 or more IPv6 nameservers configured in resolv.conf and options rotate on every second lookup fails. To reproduce just add options rotate and 2 or more caching name servers to resolv.conf.
This does not happen on the latest Ubuntu LTS or CentOS so I would suggest upstream does have a patch for this already.
If any more information is required please let me know.
Kind regards.
