Bug#566844: closed by Aurelien Jarno <aurel32@debian.org> (Bug#566844: fixed in eglibc 2.13-0exp3)

What about for Lenny and Squeeze? It's still definitely not fixed in Lenny and according to this report it's only fixed in eglibc 2.13 and not in 2.11.2 which is what Squeeze has.

It's been over a year...why can that "bug" just be fixed in the current Lenny and Squeeze. I'm actually in the process of getting everything setup for migrating our systems to Squeeze, so Lenny isn't even that much of an issue. But (although I haven't had a chance to check yet), it doesn't seem like the bug is fixed in Squeeze either according to this report.

I absolutely love the Debian distribution, but this bug is really really annoying the $@#$! out of me. I absolutely hate not having up-to-date systems because of this darn thing. It's been over a year. Please HELP. I beg of you. I'll do anything... you need a donation...fine, you need me to write some code...fine... whatever, just please make my Debian systems "stable" again........
