Bug#555105: libc6: SEGV in login, cron, su, and others

Package: libc6
Version: 2.10.2-2
Severity: normal

Log from just a few minutes ago:

Dec 6 12:25:01 acahkos kernel: [ 715.388251] cron[6198]: segfault at 268 ip b720741f sp bfc82538 error 4 in libpthread-2.10.2.so[b7203000+15000]
Dec 6 12:25:27 acahkos kernel: [ 741.258572] su[6285]: segfault at 268 ip b739e41f sp bfb3f1e8 error 4 in libpthread-2.10.2.so[b739a000+15000]
Dec 6 12:25:31 acahkos kernel: [ 745.381877] su[6300]: segfault at 268 ip b729741f sp bfdf1458 error 4 in libpthread-2.10.2.so[b7293000+15000]
Dec 6 12:27:15 acahkos kernel: [ 849.771202] su[6671]: segfault at 268 ip b71e141f sp bf940cc8 error 4 in libpthread-2.10.2.so[b71dd000+15000]

and again another cron crash at 12:32 EST

Dec 6 12:30:02 acahkos kernel: [ 1016.524430] cron[7678]: segfault at 268 ip b720741f sp bfc82538 error 4 in libpthread-2.10.2.so[b7203000+15000]
Dec 6 12:35:03 acahkos kernel: [ 1317.332338] cron[9462]: segfault at 268 ip b720741f sp bfc82538 error 4 in libpthread-2.10.2.so[b7203000+15000]

Pretty much the same numbers in the ip sp and mem locations (?) ([b7203000+15000]) and other spots.

I also cannot login on console at all. Had to log in via X to even type
this (luckily I hadn't disabled gdm...). I tried running ldconfig to see
if the symlinks were wonky... nope. Haven't run debsums but I suspect
it's OK. They are (just ran debsums).

I installed libpam-krb5-migrate-heimdal a few days ago, and after my
reboot earlier (video issues), I couldn't log in. Seems that there's
some packages that need to be rebuilt for the fairly recent glibc update.
I disabled libpam-krb5-migrate-heimdal with pam-auth-update and I was
able to log in on console with no issues.

I recommend tagging libpam-krb5-migrate-heimdal with this bug I don't
know how, sorry :/ , otherwise I'd do it ).

thanks,
simon
