Package: libc6-dev-i386
Version: 2.9-13
Severity: normal

Hello! I can't dist-upgrade my sid distribution
because of strange conflicts caused by libc6-dev-i386
package.

salmin@salmin:~$ apt-cache show libc6-dev-i386 | grep -m1 Conflicts
Conflicts: fakechroot (<= 2.9-1), fakeroot (<= 1.12.2),
fglrx-glx-ia32 (<= 1:9-5-1), gnu-efi (<= 3.0e-2),
ia32-libs (<= 2.7), ...

But 2.7 version of ia32-libs seems to be the newest.

It's also strange that dependencies of libc6-i386 are
different:
salmin@salmin:~$ apt-cache show libc6-i386 | grep -m1 Conflicts
Conflicts: fakechroot (<= 2.9-1), fakeroot (<= 1.12.2),
fglrx-glx-ia32 (<= 1:9-5-1), gnu-efi (<= 3.0e-2),
ia32-libs (<= 1.5), ...

Looks like a typo or something like that to me.

There is an ongoing transition, a new ia32-libs should be uploaded (see
bug#533004). There is no bug in libc6-dev-i386.

It's more like a suboptimal use of conflicts, as there is both a
conflict on ia32-libs (<= 1.5) and ia32-libs (<= 2.7). The result is
correct though.
