The upstream mailing list is described here:

Note that upstream's naming conventions are not designed to correspond to
political conventions, but rather major cities in the appropriate time zone.

Note that Asia/Shanghai and Asia/Chongqing are different timezones prior to
1980.

If we come up with a new UI I'm sure we can include Beijing and Guangzhou
and wherever else as well.
