this looks like a libc bug to me. You could try uninstalling nscd if 
you have it installed but don't really need it.

Apart from that, I can't help you. I will reassign this to libc6. If 
somebody needs a backtrace, the info how to get one from apache is in
/usr/share/doc/apache2.2-common/README.backtrace. It might be 
interesting for the libc maintainers what directory services you use 
(ldap, nis, ...) or if you have done any modifications 
to /etc/nsswitch.conf.
