Working with Damián "des" Viano (a DD) on IRC ( #lugfi irc.freenode.net ), we
changed teh first line of /var/lib/dpkg/info/tzdata.postinst to
#! /bin/sh -x . Then , I runned dpkg --configure tzdata. The output is here:

As I could read from the script, doung your solution would end the script
promptly, tell me if that is what you want (I mean, I do not care if I can
not upgrade for some days if we can find a solution for this bug)
