Package: shellutils Version: 2.0.11-2 Severity: normal According to the Single UNIX v2 spec, the hour offset in the TZ environment variable can range from 0 to 24, but the date command treats TZ=xxx+24 the same as TZ=xxx+23 (and treats TZ=xxx-24 the same as TZ=xxx-23). By the way, the Solaris date command imposes no restrictions on the magnitude of the hour offset--it's not even limited to two digits. For example: % date -u Sat Mar 10 01:10:00 GMT 2001 % env TZ=xxx+99999 date Thu Oct 12 10:10:05 xxx 1989 -- System Information Debian Release: testing/unstable Kernel Version: Linux arwen 2.4.2 #8 SMP Fri Feb 23 21:40:35 GMT 2001 i686 unknown Versions of the packages shellutils depends on: ii libc6 2.2.2-1 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone ii login 20000902-3 System login tools hurd Not installed or no info
