Bug#410816: libc6: Wrong warning about removed sysctl syscall
Package: libc6
Version: 2.3.6.ds1-11
Severity: normal
While compiling applications which use sysctl syscall I get warning:
warning: the `sysctl' syscall has been removed from 2.6.18+ kernels,
direct access to `/proc/sys' should be used instead.
This is NOT true. 'sysctl' syscall will stay in the kernel. Yes, there
was discussion about removal, but it was pulled back after short
discussion.
