does this bug still exist after restarting webmin?


Webmin has been removed from unstable few days ago.  What needs to be
done with this RC bug?  Downgraded?  Closed?


It'd be nice to know what happened - if he's somehow gotten mismatched
libraries installed there might be a longer problem.  On the other hand
if it was running as a daemon, then the bug can just be closed.

Could you please have a look at this bug?  It is RC, and bug submitter
did not reply yet.  There were changes in NSS libraries between 2.3.2
and 2.3.5, and thus some daemons need to be restarted when upgrading
glibc to 2.3.5.  But we do not know if this is the case here, or if
this is a different issue.  Can you please enlighten us, if you have
any idea?

webmin is almost pure perl so if there is a bug, it should be in perl right?
Alternatively, upgrade.cgi does exec gnupg for some functions. gpg is called via a function in /usr/share/webmin/proc/proc-lib.pl which boils down to: 

exec("/bin/sh", "-c", $_[0]);

Could it be this shell which is loading up libnss?
btw, as was noted earlier in the thread, webmin has been removed from unstable.
