Hi

When attempting to load via any method, Gedit crashes with the following
helpful error:

The application "gedit" has crashed unexpectedly.

The debugging information for this error is shown at the bottom of this
message. Unfortunately it seems most of the symbols have been stripped.
From a quick examination, it seems that an error with one of the virtual
file system modules may be to blame. I have upgraded all this to the
newest unstable versions with no success.

The error begun when a weekly security update also downloaded and
installed Gnome 2.10. The error is almost certainly related in some way
to this since it worked fine before that. Apart from this security
update, nothing else has changed in regard to the system configuration.

If somebody can tell me how to output a package information view like
those I see in other posts (sample shown below), I'll post one of my
own. I've had a look around, but can't see how it's done anywhere.
