Bug#305714: gethostby*.getanswer: ... got type "39"

Package: libc6
Version: 2.3.2.ds1-20

i've started seeing entries like this in my syslog:

Apr 21 09:48:06 twinlark curl: gethostby*.getanswer: asked for "ethereal.net.nyud.net IN A", got type "39"

type 39 is a DNAME record <http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2672.html>, and
DNAMEs are apparently in use by the coral content distribution network
<http://www.coralcdn.org/>.

for example:

% dig ethereal.net.nyud.net
...
;; ANSWER SECTION:
nyud.net. 12290 IN DNAME http.l2.l1.l0.nyucd.net.
ethereal.net.nyud.net. 0 IN CNAME
ethereal.net.http.l2.l1.l0.nyucd.net.
ethereal.net.http.l2.l1.l0.nyucd.net. 12296 IN CNAME
http.l2.l1.l0.nyucd.net.
http.l2.l1.l0.nyucd.net. 30 IN A 128.112.139.102
http.l2.l1.l0.nyucd.net. 30 IN A 152.2.130.67
http.l2.l1.l0.nyucd.net. 30 IN A 152.3.138.3

it would be preferable for the resolver to ignore type 39 records rather
than log about them. (well maybe the resolver should implement type 39,
but i don't mind about that either way -- it's the logging which i'd
rather not have :)

thanks
