because gdbserver needs the libthread_db helper support from glibc. By some reason i need a static linked gdbserver which need libthread_db.a, in the meantime , i also dont want a whole static glibc, Any suggestions for building a static libthread_db? though DanielJ has already given an approach at http://sources.redhat.com/ml/gdb/2003-04/msg00230.html , but i still want to know, is there any more elegant method to do this? -----dou wen
