Bug#222886: libc6-sparcv9: v9 libs renders system completely unusable

Package: libc6-sparcv9
Version: 2.3.2.ds1-10
Severity: grave

I installed libc6-sparcv9 on my Sun Ultra10 which is running Debian Sid
with kernel-image-2.4.21-sparc64.

After that I was no longer able to log in as user or root.
I pressed Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot, it didn't work.
I pressed stop-s, stop-u, stop-b to reboot. After the reboot I still
couldn't logon, even if I tried to boot single user.
I had to netboot the installer and switch to tty2 and mount my root
partition and move /lib/v9 out of the way. Afterwards it worked ok.
I am using nis. (the Ultra10 is one of the clients, the server is a i686
machine runnin debian sid)
