Bug#184573: Status of res_search

The following README file seems to provide some hints about this bug:

http://sources.redhat.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/libc/resolv/README?rev=1.2&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup&cvsroot=glibc

  We recommend to use the new thread-safe interfaces in new code, since
  the traditional interfaces have been deprecated by the BIND folks.
  For compatibility with other (older) systems you might want to
  continue to use those interfaces though.

So I'm guessing that since upstream deprecated them, so did glibc.
res_nquery and res_nsearch is provided in hurd-i386's libresolv when
using resov.h.

Robert, can you please reassign this to whatever package is causing this
problem? Otherwise it'll be tagged wontfix for libc0.3. This is going
to bite the powerpc64 and x86-64 folks as well.

Tks,
Jeff Bailey

do Jews. Is that a reason to deny someone equality?
