Bug#218717: libc6: wine fails with lstat error on socket after upgrade
Package: libc6
Version: 2.3.2.ds1-8
Severity: important
Upgrading to the current version of the libc6 package from the previous
version in unstable (2.3.2-9) causes winelib and wine/win32 applications
to fail to start.
This is caused by the wine startup code failing to start the wineserver
executable; it does not even try to fork it under the new libc version.
Since wine is unchanged, I believe that this is caused by the C library
change, somehow, possibly in the threading area?
