Hi,

here is the problem:

$ ldd /lib/libc-2.3.2.so
ldd: warning: you do not have execution permission for `/lib/libc-2.3.2.so'
/usr/bin/ldd: line 1: /lib/libc-2.3.2.so: Permission denied

No library in Debian has an execution permission.
