Thanks.  Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this failure.

I have console-tools 1:0.2.3dbs-41, libc6 2.3.2-4, and fonty 1.0-15.

Perhaps you could install libc6-dbg, export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/debug, and generate a new backtrace.  That
might yield some additional information.
