error generating all locales with locales version 2.3.1-5

I am having troubles generating locales after last apt-get upgrade. In my
/etc/locale.gen I have:
# cat /etc/locale.gen
cs_CZ ISO-8859-2
de_DE ISO-8859-1
en_US ISO-8859-1
Running locale-gen prints out
# locale-gen
Generating locales...
cs_CZ.ISO-8859-2... done
de_DE.ISO-8859-1... done
en_US.ISO-8859-1... done
Generation complete.
However no locales are generated (there is nothin but locale-archive in
/usr/lib/locale). If I changed the /usr/sbin/locale-gen script so that it
is more verbose when calling localedef
(BTW it would be nice to be able to
tell locale-gen to be more verbose by adding the -v paramter; in my
/usr/sbin/locale-gen I have now:
...
localedef -v -i $input -c -f $charset $locale;
...
)
or if I run localedef manually, I get:
# localedef -v -i cs_CZ -f "ISO-8859-2" 'cs_CZ.ISO-8859-2'
