If a fix can be found for the alpha issue, there are several people
who would NMU it in an instant to fix the RC bugs, including the
critical ones that were closed with no reason given.  Why those were
closed with no explanation is unknown, as libc{6,6.1} really need to
depend on libdb1-compat until sarge is released so that partial
upgrades will work.

I've asked Chris to take a look at the alpha stxncpy bug, and hopefully a
fix can be found for that quickly.
