I've discovered some interesting related behavior: the segfault is at least partially tied to the LANG*/LC_* environment variables. With the variables set to en_US, I get a segfault on pretty much every apropos call, generally after the result is displayed. With the variables unset, most calls *don't* segfault, though if I "apropos man" I'll still get a segfault after a display, and if I "apropos amavisd" I get a segfault before anything is displayed at all. Backtraces are the same. -- Zed Pobre <zed@debian.org> a.k.a. Zed Pobre <zed@resonant.org> PGP key and fingerprint available on finger; encrypted mail welcomed.
