glibc 2.2.93 failed to build on MIPS. Here's the tail end of the log: /usr/src/glibc-build/glibc-package/mips-linux/obj/elf/ld.so.1: undefined reference to `elf_machine_rela' /usr/src/glibc-build/glibc-package/mips-linux/obj/libc.so.6: undefined reference to `__syscall_readahead' /usr/src/glibc-build/glibc-package/mips-linux/obj/libc.so.6: undefined reference to `__divdi3_internal' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[3]: *** [/usr/src/glibc-build/glibc-package/mips-linux/obj/iconv/iconv_prog] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/glibc-build/glibc-package/glibc-2.2.93/iconv' make[2]: *** [iconv/subdir_install] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/glibc-build/glibc-package/glibc-2.2.93' make[1]: *** [install] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/glibc-build/glibc-package/mips-linux/obj' make: *** [/usr/src/glibc-build/glibc-package/mips-linux/installed-binaries] Error 2 If you have any suggestions, I'll be happy to try the build again, though it does take a while. This build ran for close to 5 hours before failing. Is it not possible to cross-compile glibc? It would be really nice in the case of things like m68k, which I'm sure takes days. noah -- _______________________________________________________ | Web: http://web.morgul.net/~frodo/ | PGP Public Key: http://web.morgul.net/~frodo/mail.html
