Status update, August 30th
So for those following along with the last few hours of work, I think
I'm done for the evening and have committed everything up to where my
local tree is.
I currently expect that hppa and ia64 will have some troubles, since
I've disables some port-specific patches until I or someone else can
figure them out.
hurd-i386 will also need be able to compile this. They need patches
that are in CVS, but aren't in this snapshot. I'll catch them next
time around.
I don't know how succesful I was at not screwing up the
cross-compiling case with the gcc-3.2 hardcoding. Since my only
available cross-compiler is for hurd-i386, I won't look at this until
the next snapshot.
If you try this, do *not* file bugs in the BTS. Send them here
instead.
If you're going to play with this,
http://sources.redhat.com/ml/libc-alpha/2002-08/msg00345.html should
be considered required reading.
I'll start a build now and let it run through the night. We'll see
how the first try comes out.
Tks,
Jeff Bailey
