problem with libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3

Hi,

I have a Potato system with a kernel that is upgraded to 2.4.18. I am trying
to run an excutable that was generated on Redhat 7.1. The executable
requires libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3, so also I installed the package
libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-8_i386.deb which includes the library.

Now the process terminates with the following error:
: relocation error: undefined symbol: __dynamic cast_2

When I do the following on Debian:
# nm -o /usr/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3
it doesn't list anything, whereas the same thing on Redhat 7.1 lists all the
functions in the library, including __dynamic_cast_2. Does anybody know what
is wrong here?

Thanks in advance for any help!
Ed
