Hi,
nscd reported the following errors:

Feb 17 12:08:03 chardonnay nscd: 4113: cannot write result: Broken pipe
Feb 17 12:08:03 chardonnay nscd: 4113: cannot write result: Broken pipe
Feb 17 12:08:03 chardonnay nscd: 4113: cannot write result: Broken pipe
After this, it was not possible to log in, or to use any program that would
query nscd. Restarting nscd didn't work either. I had to reboot.
After the reboot, the following message showed up:
Feb 17 12:17:29 chardonnay nscd: 633: short write in cache_addhst: Broken pipe
What can I do to avoid such problems in the future?
